How we help

We provide speech and language evaluations and intervention services to children throughout Central Florida. Our therapists are Board Certified and Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. Services can be provided in the comfort of the child’s home, school, daycare, or an office setting. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the therapy process to facilitate carry-over into daily routines.

In addition, we have established relationships with educational centers, physicians, community members and agencies alike in the Central Florida area to facilitate early identification and intervention for children with speech-language impairments, learning difficulties, and/or medical conditions that may affect the areas of communication and learning.

Conditions we treat

The most common speech disorder. Difficulty producing speech sounds in a clear manner that can be easily understood by listeners.

A disruption in the natural flow of speech. Also known as stuttering. For example, the child may repeat sound in words or entire words.

The child may have difficulty understanding how sounds within a language combine to convey meaning.

The child has difficulty expressing thoughts or feelings in a clear and precise manner.

The child has difficulty understanding language.

An impairment in the movement process of the speech musculature. Apraxia of speech is a motor speech disorder that affects the programming of speech musculature movement.

The child may have difficulty using the oral mechanism for functional speech or feeding, including chewing, blowing, or making specific sounds.

A communication disorder that results from damage to the parts of the brain that contain language.

A motor speech disorder where children have trouble saying sounds, syllables, and words.

A developmental disability that causes problems with social skills and communication. Autism can be mild or severe.

Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) includes all forms of communication (other than oral speech) that are used to express thoughts, needs, wants, and ideas.
